Finding a suitable counselor for your needs can be very challenging. I guess you could compare it to finding a good physician, you wouldn’t trust your body with someone who didn’t know what they were doing, in the same way you shouldn’t trust your innermost thoughts and feelings with someone who is not going to be helpful to you. One of the things that is recommended in the secular world is that you find a counselor that has as a very minimum a masters degree, but that is not always necessary in Christian circles. There are many Christians without degrees are very knowledgeable in the word of God and anointed by God’s Holy Spirit to help and counsel other brothers and sisters in Christ. If you are having a problem and feeling overwhelmed, please don’t sit there and let it eat you up inside. Talk to somebody, it can help relieve the stress of the situation and as the saying goes “A problem shared is a problem halved”. Many times when we are having a hard time we think that we are alone, but we want you to know that you are not alone. There is a God in heaven and he loves you and he will point you in the right direction to help you solve the problem! Maybe that’s why you visited our website today! We want to encourage you and help you. And you guessed it! Christians are not perfect but what we do have is a great love for God and his son Christ Jesus, we also live by a strong set of morals that tell us we ought to love one another and not judge other people – and our greatest resource is the Bible. None of us have attained all the spirituality written in the good book but we are striving to become stronger day by day. Christ did not come to this world to condemn the world but to save it, and you as an individual are no different because if you said the sinner’s prayer on our homepage you belong to God. The Lord wants to save you and heal you and bring you through whatever problem you are experiencing right now. Some people can be very judgmental especially about appearances but man looks on the outward but God looks upon the heart (1 Samuel 16:7). That happens both in the secular world and unfortunately with some Christians. However, lets be very clear about something - although Christians ought to represent the Kingdom of God and his grace, they do not always reflect that love in their actions and have caused many to feel hurt and turn away from Christianity. One of the signs of maturity is to take responsibility for one’s own decisions and we want to encourage you today to take that responsibility by not allowing anyone to mess up your new found relationship with Christ. If you want to know what Christ is like and about the character of God you will find it in the scriptures, it says in Psalm “The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy” (Psalm 145:8).
